I write this article in english just for more people can read.
If you have just installed SUSE Linux, and found some problem while using, if you have just dropped your Ubuntu Linux or other, i suggest SUSE Linux.
Maybe you know some advantage in Ubuntu Linux, Maybe you have heard that Ubuntu is the best version in Linux family ...but I'll tell you that every Linux version can have its own advantage. For SUSE Linux, you can find it wasy to use, beautiful, powerful and so on.
1: docment
by default, openoffice is installed in it . and first you may find it not have so much font types. it is due to your system.then you can just copy the font files (from the internet or other windows system) to /usr/share/fonts/truetype. then you'll find it work in your docment. how do you think of it? wonderful. Yes ,it is SUSELinux. drop windows now, just for a safer, more powerful one.
2:media
when you begin to power on your computer, you certainly want to have one or more tools to play multimedia files,or just have a look at some one on the internet.
and here , it'll tell you some:
totem(to play video): default in SUSE, You don't need to install it seperately.
audacious(to play audio):download a rpm installation file,just double click ,follow the step,i garrentee it's easy.
others is Mplayer(powerful, but i don't think it necessary, when you have totem installed),miro(to subscribe videos. if you have use itunes, you can know that it is a so convenient to enjoy so much wonderful sight shots ),vlc(watch vido on line).
The easist way to install them is yast-->community reponsitories, tog " OSS, non OSS, packman N main Update", then wait and just let it download the installation infomation automaticly.
To install them , just open "install software" and search what you like(eg. miro), tog the content you want and press accept button.don't forget to have xine-lib togged, cause totem use it to play many things,but by default , it is not installed, for some licenses.

3: web brower
it is just a waste to write something about such a topic, because ,everyone can know how to do it.
firefox is the number one. and here I don't just tell you how to use firefox . insteed, I‘ll tell you to make it more beautiful:
one step is to install third part theme, second is to change s window docration(if you use beryl , you can find many beautiful ones in www.gnome-look.org). mine followed:

I use pidgin for QQ,MSN,YAHOO.I use skype for phone on line.like upper ones, mine followed:
5: other
maybe, you're just supprised at the screen for the difference between yours and mine. then I just tell you to install beryl, kiba-dock,screenlets. the introduction to install them can be found by search engine.
