Slackware: I prefer to this distro as a desktop OS, because the TGZ package system can give me most flexibility rather than rpm,deb etc., KISS( Keep It Simple Stupid ) is the ultimate sophistication. I think Slackware could be better if Petrick utterly removes the whole KDE from the release, I'll never install that huge monster, I think the XFCE4 could satisfy most Slackware users.
Trustix: I used this distro on a server some years ago and It realy worked quite well, but to my disappointment, Trustix is no more under development for free community. Today I found a new distro "EnGarde" which I think could be a greate substitute of Trustix, now I'm downloading the ISO from its website, I cannot wait to have a try of it.
