用Ubuntu已经一年多了，从6.06到6.10到现在的7.04，期待7.10。以前的对linux的学习笔记和问题解决方法总是记在电脑的文档里，可是前段时间突然丢了，可能是剪切给谁了或误删了，所有的资料都丢了。在使用Ubuntu之前，最好对Ubuntu和其他linux发行版有一定了解，可以参看linux守护神，相信自己喜欢这个版本后再进行安装和配置，或喜欢其他版本，但这里只提供ubuntu的安装与配置的方法，也使用过几个版本的linux，但最后还是回到了ubuntu。有一个叫PClinuxOS的发行版，感觉也非常不错，某些方面比ubuntu强，只是对中文输入的支持不太好，有兴趣的朋友可以试试。
一、ubuntu 7.04的安装
首先下载光盘镜像，很多地方都有下载，这里，或自己Google一下。或者可以申请官方寄来，这里提供申请。有了光盘后，下来就是安装了，按照提示，很容易进行，只是分区时，文件系统选择 ext3或者ReiserFS，而且至少得有 2 个分区，一个根分区，一个 swap 交换分区。swap分区一半为内存的两倍。
二、ubuntu 7.04的配置
1.配置ADSL拨号上网（不需拨号的用户跳过）
sudo pppoeconf
然后按提示安装即可，或也可以安装图形化的拨号程序
sudo apt-get install gnome-ppp
2.修改源
首先备份源，备份是个好习惯，感觉linux恢复删除的文件比较麻烦
sudo cp /etc/apt/sources.list /etc/apt/sources.list.backup
然后打开并修改源文件
sudo gedit /etc/apt/sources.list
选择一个合适的源替换原来的

3.语言支持
选择 系统－>系统管理－>语言支持，安装语言包，并把里面的 “Chinese” 勾选上。下边为一些软件的安装，你也可用新立得来安装
4.安装mplayer等播放器及相应解码器
sudo apt-get install mplayer mozilla-mplayer totem-xine libxine-extracodecs w32codecs audacious
如果遇到找不到w32codecs,可单独下载下载w32codecs到/usr/lib/win32，如果mplayer播放时提示错误,可设置mplayer中 Preferences->Video 选择 “xv X11/Xv”，Preferences->Codecs&demuxer 选择 “FFmpeg/libavcodec audio decoders”
5.amule安装和配置
sudo apt-get install amule amule-utils
在Firefox里面关联ed2k链接
在地址栏输入about:config
新建“布尔”
名称为：network.protocol-handler.external.ed2k
值为：true
新建“字符串”
名称为：network.protocol-handler.app.ed2k
值为：/usr/bin/ed2k
ED2K服务器列表
DonkeyServer No1: IP:62.241.53.2 Port:4242
DonkeyServer No2: IP:62.241.53.16 Port:4242

6.安装BT
sudo apt-get install azureus
7.安装防火墙（基本不需要）
sudo apt-get install firestarter
8.安装编译工具
sudo apt-get install build-essential
9.安装JAVA环境
sudo apt-get install sun-java6-jre
安装JDK
sudo apt-get install sun-java6-jdk
设置当前默认的java解释器
sudo update-alternatives --config java
输入 有包含 "sun" 的行的前面的数字
安装浏览器的JAVA Plugin(可选)

10.安装词典
sudo apt-get install stardict
到http://stardict.sourceforge.net/Dictionaries.php下载词典，解压后放到/usr/share/star
声音文件解压到/usr/share/下
11.xmms乱码
菜单乱码
sudo cp /etc/gtk/gtkrc.zh_CN /etc/gtk/gtkrc.zh_CN.utf-8
安装 xmms-mpg123-ja //(xmms-mpg123-ja比默认的mpg123多了编码转换)
用 xmms-mpg123-ja 插件代替 xmms 默认的 xmms-mpg123
xmms 首选项-》音频输入输出插件
去掉 libmpg123 的［启用］
选上 libmpg123-ja 的 ［启用］
xmms 首选项-》音频输入输出插件 -》 libmpg123-ja -》配置 -》标题
选上输入转换GB18030 -》 UTF-8
在标题格式里只填上 %f ， 默认的好象是 %p-%t ，不要默认的。
选项-->首选项-->字体：
选中使用字体集，使用x字体，两个框内用下行代替
-adobe-helvetica-medium-r-normal-*-14-*-*-*-p-*-iso8859-1,-*-*-medium-r-normal--16-*-*-*-*-*-gb2312.1980-0
12.chm阅读器,这里用kchmviewer，另外两个或多或少都有乱码问题
sudo apt-get install kchmviewer
13.安装pidgin2.0.2
sudo apt-get install libglib2.0-dev libgtk2.0-dev libxml2-dev libnss3-dev gettext html2text
再终端中，进入pidgin安装目录，然后
./configure
make
sudo make install
14.配置触摸板开关
修改/etc/X11/xorg.conf

重启，然后安装qsynaptics来更精准地控制您的设备。
15.更多软件，如rar,ntfs自动挂载,Downloader for X等，你可以用新立得安装，非常方便，这里就不一一再说了。
好了，基本的配置就这些，当然，如果要想让你的ubuntu完美，还有很多步骤要做，比如字体、图标和主题等的设置，这里就不说了，以后再写。由于以前的笔记丢了，以上为本人凭记忆写的，当然也网上查了很多资料，以确定其正确性。
