Q: Everytime I reboot my system, CMOS and Windows says it's 6:44 (or 6 whatever) PM when it is really 10:44 PM. I'll reset the time in CMOS as well and boot into Windows to find it is 6:44 again ! Unless I reset the time in different OS. I am crazing~~
A : At first , I think it's the CMOS bettery low. If the problem is this , BIOS will checksum failure
and halt on,but why it's show correct in Linux ? It's something else.
After look for the answers in google, I found CentOS defualt time is "UTC"(Universal Time Coordinates),but Windows only operate under "local time" and not "UTC".
Another time is "GMT"(Greenwich Mean Time) This is the basic time zone located in England which is used to determine the time in each time zone region throughout the world.
So I set UTC off in linux and sync windows time server , (Make sure windows time sync service started) this problem solved .
