Paris, January 11th 2008 - Mandriva Denmark was launched in December 2007 as the exclusive Danish partner for Mandriva S.A, offering the Mandriva Linux operating system. The goal of Mandriva Denmark is to provide local distribution of Mandriva Linux and other integrated open source applications in the local language throughout Denmark, the Faeroe Islands and Greenland.
“Even though we are currently only distributing Mandriva Powerpack via local Danish business partners, we will support the full product line of Mandriva, when the need arises”, said Niels Svennekjær, managing director of JustLinux and Mandriva Denmark.
The strategic goals of Mandriva Denmark are to:
* Promote Mandriva and Mandriva products in the Danish market.
* Develop a nationwide support network
* Collaborate with translation groups to supply all Mandriva documents in Danish
* Make Mandriva products available through online shops
* Make Mandriva products available through Danish OEMs and VARs.
* Work with Independent Software Vendors (ISVs) to provide an open source integration environment for their applications, thereby making their products available on the international market
* Work with educational institutions and organizations.
