Industry expert with more than 20 years of experience brings Extensive Financial Expertise and Software Industry Experience to Mandriva
Paris, November 4th, 2008 - Mandriva, the leading European Linux publisher, today announced the appointment of Hervé Yahi as Chairman - CEO.

Hervé Yahi brings over 20 years of experience in the technology industry. He will be responsible for overall operations, business development, marketing and sales.
Hervé Yahi has led the successful turnaround, deployment and merger of a number of Software/Services companies.
Hervé Yahi joins Mandriva from Dassault Systemes , Worldwide PLM leader , where he served as CEO of 3D4ALL (on-line life-like experience applications ) and Virtools , a Middleware vendor for 3D life-like applications he had sold to Dassault in 2005 after turning that company around from a fire-sale status.
He had been recruited to Virtools from his position as CEO of Bizzbuild Partners Plc, listed on the AIM, London.
Earlier, he had played a key role in the merger of seven companies to form CSSI, the French SI&S under the umbrella of the Communication et Systèmes Group for which he also transformed four other companies - Verilog (real-timer software), CSTI (parallel computing, set-top box), ECSAT (off-shore software development) and CS UK (Rand) (EAI).
He forged his reputation early in his career,when he steered Bull Group’s SI&S Division, Transtar Group and Business Process Automation into prominent market positions having previously led the CJN Group (system integrator and ISV).
Hervé Yahi was Chairman and CEO at Computron Software Europe, where he made the alignment with the european market expectations, commercial restructuration and turnaround .
Hervé Yahi is a graduate of Supelec and had a PhD in theoretical physics.
